Senator John Barrasso urged action from Congress on May 12 regarding reforms to America’s federal permitting system affecting large-scale building projects. He criticized current delays caused by laws like NEPA while outlining plans for new legislation aimed at streamlining approvals.
Out of the $2.6 billion in total tax revenue collected by Wyoming in 2024, $98.5 million came from motor vehicle license taxes, representing a decrease from the previous year, when the total was $103.1 million, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Annual Survey of State Government Tax Collections (STC).
