Wyoming collected 54.9% more in taxes on public utilities sales taxes in 2024 than in previous year

Out of the $2.6 billion in total tax revenue collected by Wyoming in 2024, $5.9 million came from public utilities sales taxes, representing an increase from the previous year, when the total was $3.8 million, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Annual Survey of State Government Tax Collections (STC).
