The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is encouraging its members to participate in the annual member ballot. According to the organization, the results from this ballot play a key role in determining NFIB’s policy positions and guiding its advocacy efforts before legislative committees.

Unlike many other organizations, NFIB does not have a board of directors setting its policy agenda. Instead, it relies on input from its members to identify issues important to small business owners. The outcomes of the state ballots are used by lawmakers as an indicator of the concerns and priorities of small businesses in the state.

“Over time, lawmakers have come to view these ballot results are the true and only voice of small businesses in the state. Your participation helps us advocate for your interests and ensure your priorities are heard.”

The ballot is accessible only to NFIB members. Members can vote by visiting www.NFIB.com/VoteMyBallot, logging in with their email and password, selecting “My Ballots and Surveys,” and completing their state ballot.

This process aims to ensure that small business owners have a direct influence on NFIB’s advocacy efforts.
