Premier Sports Athletic Complex Grand Opening Will be March 19

City of Douglas recently issues the following announcement.

Previously scheduled for March 12, the City of Douglas and Douglas-Coffee County Parks and Recreation have rescheduled the Grand Opening of the Premier Sports Athletic Complex to Saturday, March 19, 2022 beginning at 9:30AM. Scheduled for the grand opening will be a ribbon cutting at 9:30AM, followed by youth baseball/softball games at 10AM. Games are expected to last all day. Free hotdogs and Coca-Cola drinks will be provided while supplies last.

Construction of the youth sports complex began in October 2020 and was completed in January 2022.  The Premier Sports Athletic Complex consists of 4 baseball/softball fields, 3 football/soccer fields, 3 concession stands, batting cages, a small playground area, and parking. Reservations are now being taken for tournament play.  For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 912-384-5978.
