4.1% of citizens in Wyoming unemployed in 2021

Wyoming's unemployment rate hit 4.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That's 12,464 people out of the 576,641 living in Wyoming at the time, according to data U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26, 2023.

The unemployment rate in Wyoming has decreased compared to the 4.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Wyoming was less than the national unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 288,369 people who had a job during that time, 3,435 were employed in the Armed Forces and 284,934 belonged to the civilian labor force.
