U.S. Attorney’s Office to announce results of cocaine conspiracy prosecution in Teton counties

The United States Attorney’s Office announced on Mar. 17 that it will hold a press conference to discuss the successful prosecution of a three-year investigation into a cocaine distribution conspiracy spanning Teton County, Wyoming and Teton County, Idaho.

The press conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, at the U.S. Attorney’s Office Headquarters in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The event will address the recent sentencing of the fifth and final defendant involved in the case.

According to the announcement, multiple agencies participated in investigating the crime, including the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, Drug Enforcement Agency, United States Postal Inspection Service, Teton County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho, and Idaho State Police.

Darin Smith, United States Attorney for the District of Wyoming; Ronnie Jones, Director of the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation; and Dave Olesky, Special Agent in Charge at the Drug Enforcement Administration are expected to speak at the event.
