George Jared Peck, 36, from Greybull, Wyoming, has been sentenced to over ten years in prison for possession of child pornography. Following his imprisonment, he will face a decade of supervised release. The court also ordered him to pay $23,000 in restitution to the victims. The National Center of Missing and Exploited Children had initially flagged Peck’s activities when they received a CyberTip about an attempted upload of child exploitation images online. This information was forwarded to the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. Peck’s previous convictions include promoting a sexual performance by a minor and other related offenses. Z. Seth Griswold prosecuted the case.
In another case, Mary Renee Weymouth, 63, from Lander, Wyoming, received a sentence of 70 months for drug-related offenses involving methamphetamine and marijuana distribution. She was under investigation for drug distribution activities with her supply source linked to Las Vegas. Cathy Kay Gordon was intercepted alongside Weymouth on their return trip from Las Vegas with significant quantities of drugs. Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy W. Gist handled the prosecution.
Cathy Kay Gordon received a ten-year sentence for drug trafficking and firearm-related charges connected to her conspiracy with Weymouth in distributing drugs in Fremont County.
Angel Anibel Felipe-Perez, 32, from Tabasco, Mexico, was sentenced to 18 months in prison followed by deportation due to illegal reentry into the United States after being previously deported in November 2019. The Uinta County Sheriff’s Department arrested him earlier this year for interference with law enforcement duties.
Manuel Ruiz-Ruiz from Zacatecas, Mexico, will be deported after serving time for illegal reentry into the United States following prior removal in July 2019.
David Leon-Campos from Guanajuato, Mexico received seven months’ imprisonment before deportation for illegal reentry and employment document fraud after using false identification documents.
Stephanie K. McGee from Boonesboro Maryland was sentenced to thirty days’ incarceration after violating terms of her unsupervised probation related to DUI offenses at Yellowstone National Park.
