The University of Wyoming and the Wyoming Small Business Development Center Network will host a business workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs in Kemmerer on June 9. Rob Condie will lead the session, titled “Start Your Own Business – Kemmerer,” from 6-8 p.m. at the Oyster Ridge Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Diamondville.

The event is designed for individuals considering starting a small business and aims to provide advice and assistance throughout the process. Registration for the workshop is free.

According to organizers, the Wyoming SBDC Network offers expertise to help residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their businesses. The network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with support from state funds provided by the Wyoming Business Council and partial funding through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The workshop will break down the startup process into manageable steps for attendees at any stage of their entrepreneurial journey. Topics include testing business ideas before investing money, identifying target customers and how to reach them, securing funding through grants or loans, and connecting with ongoing local resources and experts.

Condie serves as regional director for Lincoln, Sublette, Sweetwater and Uinta counties within the Wyoming SBDC Network. For more information about this event or other services offered by the network, contact Tyler Schanck at (307) 343-0925 or email tschanck@uwyo.edu.
