The Wyoming Cowboys completed their fourth week of spring football practice with a scrimmage and situational drills inside the Indoor Practice Facility, according to an April 14 announcement. The team has now held twelve practices this spring and is preparing for its annual spring game, which will take place at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 25 at 1 p.m.

The upcoming spring game marks an important opportunity for both players and fans. Gates will open at noon, with spectators invited to sit on the Lower East side of the stadium. Further details about events surrounding the game are expected to be released early next week.

Head Coach Jay Sawvel said, “We have a lot of work to work on, but we had positives on both sides. I thought today was very physical defensively and we tackled well. I think that showed up on both sides of the ball. The quarterbacks were good and when we opened things up, they could really to get into rhythm. We have a number of players that need to play with fans in the seats next Saturday and we look forward to that.”

The offensive line returns experienced starters Braylon Jenkins and Rex Johnsen at tackle positions while adding transfer center Jason Maciejczak from Nebraska and Chandler Donaway from East Texas A&M. Other returning contributors include Quinn Grovesteen-Matchey, Caleb Hall, Giovanni Panozzo, Jake Davies (who missed time this spring), Josiah Petaia, Johnathan Bush (who redshirted last season), Kalvin Janssen, Cooper Lawson, Tariq Miller (all redshirts last year), Jeremiah Katt (transfer), Spencer Rathbun, and Grant Lott.
