Gloria Merina Wass, a 64-year-old resident of Hudson, Wyoming, received a sentence of time served and will be under supervised release for three years following her conviction for methamphetamine distribution. Court documents revealed that on October 28, 2024, Wass sold methamphetamine to an undercover law enforcement agent and agreed to future transactions. The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation handled the investigation, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy W. Gist prosecuted the case. Wass was indicted on January 15, 2025, and entered a guilty plea on March 3, 2025. U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl delivered the sentence on July 1, 2025, in Casper.
In a separate case involving illegal reentry into the United States, Isauro Enriquez-Rios from Chihuahua, Mexico was sentenced to time served and is set for deportation. Enriquez-Rios was arrested by the Wyoming Highway Patrol on May 6, 2025, for a traffic offense in Casper. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) determined that he had previously been removed from the U.S., having not sought permission to reenter since his formal removal in January 2011. ICE conducted the investigation with prosecution led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron J. Cook. Judge Scott W. Skavdahl imposed this sentence in Cheyenne on July 2, 2025.
