Wyoming track and field achieves three top 10 program times in California meets

Wyoming track and field recorded six personal bests and three top 10 program times during a series of competitions in California, according to an April 18 announcement. The team participated in the Bryan Clay Invitational, Beach Invitational, and Mt. SAC Relays.

The performances included notable achievements from both the Cowgirls and Cowboys squads. Freshman Desirae Iacovetto ran the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.91 for a 41st place finish. Sophomore Eva Dellorco led Wyoming in the women’s 400-meter dash invitational with a personal best of 54.76 seconds, winning her heat and finishing eleventh overall.

In field events, sophomore Koi Adderley set a personal best in the long jump at 5.98 meters, tying for fifth place and earning No. 10 on Wyoming’s outdoor program list. Senior Elayna Chafee finished tied for eleventh with her season-best jump of 5.69 meters before securing seventh place in the triple jump at 11.81 meters—also No.10 all-time outdoors for Wyoming.

On the men’s side, freshman Ryan Elsen anchored a fourth-place finish for Wyoming’s relay team in the men’s 4×100-meter event with a time of 40.80 seconds after previously breaking the school record this season. Junior AJ McGloflin cleared a height of 2.07 meters to take fourth place in high jump, marking his season best and tying him for ninth on Wyoming’s outdoor records.

Additional highlights included senior Cam Burkett placing fifth with an effort of 18.30 meters in shot put at Mt. SAC Relays while sophomore Quinn Lindsay achieved third place with a personal-best discus throw measuring at over fifty meters.

Looking ahead, Wyoming is scheduled to compete next at The Border Dual event on April 25.
