As part of its biennial review, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has released its voting records for Wyoming legislators. The report evaluates which lawmakers have supported small businesses during the recent legislative session.

Tony Gagliardi, NFIB's Wyoming state director, praised the state's legislators for their approach over the past two years. "Wyoming was blessed to have the state legislators it did for these past two years," he stated. He highlighted their understanding that raising taxes or introducing new regulations during a pandemic-era economy was not advisable. Instead, they focused on measures to help small businesses stay afloat amidst challenges like inflation and supply-chain disruptions.

The NFIB assessed legislators based on their votes on seven bills that successfully passed through both the State Senate and State House and were signed into law by Governor Mark Gordon. Gagliardi noted, "No senator or representative had a lower score than 57%, 31 had 100% pro-small-business voting records, and everyone else was in between." He expressed hope that future legislatures would maintain this level of support for small businesses.

NFIB has been advocating for small business owners across America since its founding in 1943. The organization remains committed to supporting independent businesses nationwide.
