The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), an organization representing small businesses in Wyoming, expressed gratitude to the state legislature for passing SF 48. This legislation raises the tax exemption on business personal property from $2,400 to $75,000 and simplifies the tax filing process.

Michael Smith, NFIB State Director, highlighted the significance of this relief for local businesses. "Amid rising costs and an ongoing worker shortage, SF 48 provides meaningful financial relief to Wyoming’s small businesses. Easing the compliance burden and raising the personal property tax exemption to $75,000 will provide much-needed tax relief to Main Street employers, so they can continue to do what they do best: create jobs and invest in our communities," he stated. Smith also acknowledged the legislature's support for small businesses and anticipated a prompt endorsement by the Governor.
